National Scrapping Day

I have been joining in the National Day of Scrapping well the Counterfeit Kit challenge part any way.
in this layout I have fulfilled two of the challenges.
Crysal wanted us to make a different background but not to use strips, circles, blocks or squares

What I did was to take a liner sheet from a protective sleeve lightly glue with repositional spray glue pieces of cs that I had made cogs with (the bit left over) these made a good mask in between each section I placed some bright yellow foam letters higgledy piggledy then sprayed with Mint gold let it dry a bit and removed the cog masks and sprayed again with Terricotta gold. once that was dry I removed the foam letters (kept them to make the title)
I then cut it into 4 6x6 pieces and changed the direction of them, sewing them to a piece of white cs with machined zig zag stitch around the edge and lacing the centre joins with wool

the Title fits another of CFK challenge Jimjams challenge to use up odd alphas

Title is made up of a 'w' for a 'm' a loopy 'l' made the first 't' the 'e' was really a curly 'c' I pushed it closer together, the first 'r' was part of a 'k' (curly top)
'a' was a 'd' second 't' was and '!' second 'r' was an 'n'

oops I had better show you the page
Mother Nature

I'll be back later to post my picture of the day and a mini book I completed.

Great job. I've been working on my Week in the LIfe Album today. Got all the pictures in. Just need to do the journaling and a little embellishing.

Well done on the 2-in-1 Mary, great idea to use the inner bits of the cogs for the background masks.

That's a really lovely colour of mist that you've used Mary. It co-ordinates beautifully with your photographs!

Fab challenge combining there Mary - thanks for taking part in my NSD Challenge!

A place for me to put the pictures of layouts I have done that I am pleased with, to put in the poems I write and to add snippets of things that have caught my eye
