Story Telling Sunday

It's Story time again.
my story today is about how smells can evoke memories and I am cheating a little here as I did a 'no photo' layout of this a few years ago
The Memory Of Fragrances

Why not pop over to Sian's blog to find all those taking part.

I'm a big fan of layouts without photos - because it lets the writing shine. And it certianly does here Mary! Wonderfully evocative and very well observed. I was just musing yesterday about how the smell of "white musk" take sme right back to spending my first pay in the Body Shop in the 1980's

Thanks for the story today Mary

I love the smell of coffee, one of my absolute favourites. SOunds and smells are what takes me back.

Yes, I agree, smell is a wonderful trigger of bygone memories. Thanks for sharing, I enjoyed the story though I am not a coffee person.

You are so right about aromas bringing back memories, but the smell of coffee is definitely one of the strongest. Thanks for your musing.

Yes I certainly can relate to this... The smell of fresh bread takes me back to my youth when my mom would have bread made for us when we would come home from school... love the smell of fresh bread :)

So true about smells bringing back memories - for me it's baking smells... they always remind me of a certain home bakery.

I always think that coffee, like fruit tea, smells so much better than it tastes. Smells are evocative aren't they!

A place for me to put the pictures of layouts I have done that I am pleased with, to put in the poems I write and to add snippets of things that have caught my eye
