Catch up
I haven't posted much except my nature calendar for quite some time, so I thought I had better rectify that.
I haven't been feeling too good lately mainly tired because I don't sleep very well at the best of times but for the last three weeks my nasal passages have been rather blocked and so I'm finding it even harder to stay asleep at night. (note to self - make an appointment with the doctors)
I am so glad I didn't get rid of my old desktop computer, for although it is driving me bananas because of its slowness, it is a computer, it does work and I can get on to the internet. I can create digital pages and therefore continue with my creativity.
I haven't done any more paper & things pages since the beginning of the month, but I do have a crop tomorrow so hopefully I will get one done there. In the meantime here are a couple of digital pages completed this week.
This first one is for the weekly challenge on UKScrappers to use a sketch from pagemaps (3rd one down)
to use a holiday theme and to add butterflies or blooms or both.
Neither butterflies nor blooms really went with these photos so I hid the butterflies in the title.
This one is a double page of my Son's boy, Rufus, he is such a mischief and has such a cheeky way with him.
My laptop should be delivered back to me tomorrow, for which I will be very grateful.
Karen of Dolly's Dreamings always put what she is grateful for each day. So I'm copying her today and here is what I am grateful about
I still have my desktop computer
I met up with my Son today and got my Grandsons birthday present
I had a nice time at the hairdressers this morning.
and instead of a lolcat (Karen's addition) I have one of my own cat Rudi

Nature's Calendar - Dappled light

Slow service and scrapping
I had to stay in all day yesterday as my laptop was being picked up for repair. I was really fed up with being indoors. I was glad to be going out for a meal with Neil, Gemma and Rufus to celebrate Neil's birthday. We went to Pizza Express and although the meal itself was good, they really ought to have been named Pizza Slow Boat to China. By the time we had finished our meal it was about 10.30 really too late for Rufus, he was nearly asleep before Neil drove me home. I did get some nice photos of him though and he was so good. To finish the meal we had a tiny desert that came with the coffee and Rufus had a frothy milk with a sprinkle of chocolate, he thought that was so good
Today I decided that although I didn't really need anything I would go into town. I didn't stay long, felt aimless and tired.
I'm missing the quickness of my laptop because this machine (desktop) is so so slow.
Never mind I can use it I can get on the internet and I can talk to my friends both blog friends and UKS friends. So why do I feel so yuk?
To cheer myself up I have done another page of a photo taken when I went up to see Helen, Andy and the boys.
I had to change the photo to black & white as Helen's top, being red clashed with the theme of the photo.

More Scrapping
I'm trying to get a good total of layouts done this month, as I have a teamie to catch (but I don't think I will). Never mind it has encouraged me to scrap more than I have done of late.
here are two more
and this one done for the weekly challenge on UKScrappers. Challenge Criteria to do something home related. Use a favourite colour. Add a list. Three of something.
I also used a sketch for Sketch Supportturned through 90 deg as per the challenge on Counterfeit Kit Challenge

Broken laptop and one more off my list
My laptop that I have had just three short months is broken, the fan has stopped and won't start again. I know it is still under guarantee but it does mean I will be without it for a week. They are picking it up on Tuesday and will redeliver the following week. How come it takes so long to put a new fan in?
In the mean time I am back on my old old desktop computer that is so so so slow. I hope I will be able to keep going with my nature calendar, I have scheduled three in but will run out of usable photos after that.
I haven't even done any scrapping today as it has taken me most of my available time to get this machine up to date, I haven't used it for so long.
I just have one photo to share for the scavenger hunt. It is a roadside memorial that has been on this lamppost for so long it is faded and tatty and one of the reasons I really don't like them. It has got to be at least 5 years since this person was killed.
I still need a town hall protest and a forest, not sure that I'm going to succeed with either of those.

Still on a scrapping roll
I'm still on a digi scrapping roll, really ought to start to get back into paper scrapping but while I am enjoying creating I find it difficult to think of gathering stash to do a paper page.
here is today's offerings
this is a scraplift from Fruitysuet's LO on UKScrappers (unfortunately I can't find it on her blog)
this one is for Shimelle's CC

Nature's Calendar - As seen in Cheltenham
I really haven't a clue what this plant is. It is planted in one of the formal beds at the Municipal Offices in Cheltenham.

Scrapping and a Scavenger Hunt find
I'm still making my way through the list of challenges that Shimelle put up at the weekend.
I liked the Bingo card and butterflies one so much I did a nearly perfect scraplift only I did it digitally
btw the reason for the face pulling is in the journalling.
Another of the challenges was signature accent - to do a layout using something that we use a lot well as my username of many sites is Mary buttons that will give you a clue.
This one is for the 3 is a magic number challenge I've really embraced the 3 here. 3 patterned papers, 3 photos, 3 butterflies, three lines of journalling, and 3 words in the title.
I like a lot of us who are doing Rinda's scavenger hunt have been struggling to find a unicycle look what I found today

A day out
Decisions decisions where shall I go Cirencester or Cheltenham which shall be my goal
Cheltenham
was the one I chose
Nearly 2 hours on the bus through little villages and lanes. Cricklade is first, as seen from the bus
Latton, south Cerney, Siddington then on to Cirencester where we stop for a while.
Out in the sticks again, pouring with rain.
Speeding along now no stops till Cheltenham.
Lots of architecture lots to see
Coffee in Starbucks just right for me
wondering around what can I find? Just of the main Road a strange sign
and then a lovely old church so peaceful
there with old weather and worn grave stones not very clear
One caught my eye perhaps the reason for the sign.
Clock face on the church steeple green with verdigris.
Into Beeches Arcade where more photos I take
love this mirror
then into Regent Arcade to see the fish clock.
just in time for the clock to come to life blowing bubbles
sit and eat lunch
Then hurry back for the bus, a double decker this time so upstairs is a must.
I have a front seat, couldn't be better so more photos are taken on the way back.
Home again very tired but I have really enjoyed my day.
